Easy Mint Green Tea

If you aren’t on the Green Tea bandwagon you may want to jump on. Green tea has so many health benefits. Experts say that green tea can aide in weight loss, help reduce bad cholesterol in the blood, prevent tooth decay, reduce the risk of high blood pressure and inhibit the spread of many diseases from influenza to cancer. Green tea contains caffeine so if you are caffeine sensitive then you shouldn’t drink more than a cup. The main reason people avoid drinking green tea is because of the bitter taste. Well I am here to tell you that I was one of those people for a long time but I found a way to enjoy it. I started by drinking flavored green tea. If you go down the green tea and coffee aisle at your local grocery store you will find many different flavors of green tea. Some include lemon, honey, coconut super fruit, vanilla and decaf honey lemon green tea. There are so many more too! You can even take plain green tea and mix in your own flavor by adding lemon juice, honey, fruit juice, etc. Get creative until you find a mix you really like. I did notice that the original 100% green tea had the most flavonoids which provide the antioxidant properties. These flavonoids reduce inflammation, promote healthy arteries and help fight aging by preventing and repairing cellular damage.

Anyone here like Mint Tea? Well if you do I will tell you my favorite way to enjoy my green tea. I simply brew a cup of tea with 1 bag of regular green tea and 1 bag of mint tea. The longer you brew it the better it tastes in my opinion. That’s my secret (well not anymore hehe). You can buy the Mint Tea and the Green Tea in boxes separately (the way I do it) or you can buy Green Tea w/Mint. I was so excited when I figured out that concoction because I love it!

I hope that you can find a way to enjoy drinking at least 2 cups of green tea a day so you too can reap the benefits of this wonderful antioxidant powerhouse drink! Cheers 

I don’t like green tea at all but maybe I could stand it with some flavor in it. I’ve heard it’s really good for you :)
